In early 2022, the Climate Change Subcabinet published a draft of a Climate Action Framework to guide climate action in Minnesota. The draft Framework reflects ideas proposed by state agencies in the summer of 2021 and input received on those proposals throughout the summer and fall.
Over the next several months, we will continue these conversations to finalize the Framework. One aspect of this process will be stakeholder workgroups, convened jointly by the Climate Change Subcabinet and the Governor’s Advisory Council on Climate Change. The workgroups will be organized around each of the chapters of the draft Framework:
- Clean transportation
- Climate-smart-natural and working lands
- Resilient communities
- Clean energy and efficient buildings
- Healthy lives and communities
- Clean economy
The workgroups will meet approximately six times from March to May to review the draft Framework and provide input on potential changes to the Framework and its implementation.
The opportunity to indicate interest in participation on a workgroup has closed.
